My Lunch

I got my lunch at this place called Tasty Corners. I ordered The Veggie Burger Combo with coke. Although the service there was not the best thing ever, especially when the girl in the cashier was real mean when I asked her for my drink. I remember that I was really hungry and could not wait to get my food. So when I ate it, I felt like I was taking a bite into heaven. It was real tasty as the store's name. I usually don't like veggie burgers and this was hands down the best one I have tasted. The fries were very good as well but it could have been better if it was less salty. They put the right amount of toppings in burger because if they put a bit more it would have gotten messy. Overall, I had a great lunch minus the salty fries and the bad service.

Silver Snail

From the outside I knew this store is going to really cool because their graffiti of spider man, hulk and other famous heroes made me real excited as I entered the store. Silver Snail is a bookstore that is clearly for people who are into Marvel and action figures.

It has collections from Lord of the Rings to the vintage Marvel poster. It was really different experience to go through because to be honest, I am a huge Marvel fan and so to see a lot action figures of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and much more I got really excited. There was a lot of Lord of the Rings collection especially the big statue of Gollum on top of the book case.

They had many statues of famous characters in movies like the Darth Vader. However, it was real expensive, I think the statue of Gollum is over 300 dollars. They had very minimal books, it was more focused on the action figures and vintage posters which made this store really unique.

There wasn't much staff but the girl in the front desk was really nice and seemed really keen on answering the questions. The upstairs part of the store had more action figures and posters and it was very big. They had more staff upstairs too who were also keen on helping the customers. From this I can tell that the staff at Silver Snail are really friendly people.

I had the feeling I was entering a Marvel atmosphere when I entered the store, it had a great vibe and they had great collections although I won't consider this as a bookstore. More of collections action figures and posters but they did have some books but not that many so it does give the customers a variety of book collections.

Overall, I do recommend this store for Marvel junkies and people who really like Superheroes, Star wars and Lord of the Rings.

She Said Boom

When I walked into the store, it had a great vibe because I love when people be friendly and greet me from the start. This store had great collections of books although it was really limited. It didn't have a great variety of books like BMV it had some which made this store interesting.

I think what made this store different from the other I went to was the fact that this store had a great amount of record collections. I rarely seen records in my life and this store having a big collection of records made me excited. As I looked through the records I was wondering how they could have collected all these records from so long ago.

This bookstore is a used bookstore so that explains the prices on the books  because new books like Harry Potter were being sold for the reasonable price of 5 dollars but it usually sold for 10 dollars and up.

They did have some sort of variety when it came to books, although it was still limited so there is some sort of accessibility. Something I did not really like about the store is that their books were very high on the bookshelf. For people short like me would have a hard time time reaching for books. On the contrary, they did have a ladder but I do not like the fact that I need to use a ladder to reach for my books. Other stores had an easy access for me to reach for the books but this store had it way high up.

In conclusion, this is a well rounded book store. It has great collections of books, especially new books and an amazing collection of records. They make sure that this store is affordable which I like and I had a great time perusing through this book store.

A Different Booklist

To be honest, When I saw this bookstore from a far, it was real bright due to its choice of neon colour so it automatically caught my attention. As I entered the store, I had the warmest welcome by this amazing lady named Itah Sadu.

She was the best part of this store and literally made my day. She was great person filled with a wonderful personality. No one in the other bookstores actually stood there and had full on conversations with me except for her. She is filled with pride towards her culture and she is definitely proud to be who she is. When I walked into the bookstore, it had varieties of books from her black heritage. She made a specific wall of the people she met and I really can tell that this store is like her home.

The atmosphere of the place was like home. Although it was small, the lady made it feel like home. There wasn't much of varieties of book selection because it was just books of her black heritage. However, the collections of books she had was really interesting and it would be something I want to read. I can tell she treats this store like her baby and this can proved by the way she talks about the experiences she had with the store.

However, this was a small bookstore, it was not that spacious but I can tell she did take the space part into factor and made sure she made it fit just right for the area.

Overall, this was a great bookstore to go into because the experience I had in it was truly wonderful. If not, just go in for Itah Sadu because she is a great person to talk to and she is willing to give you advice on life that no other stranger would do for you. I had a great time in this store and I definitely recommend this bookstore.

The Beguiling

The Beguiling is a small bookstore close to Honest Eds. I got a very funny feeling about this bookstore when I walked in due to the fact that it is very small and I was wondering what they could possibly have in there. As I suspected, I was right. It was really small but they had a vast collection of comic books.

When I walked in, there was this guy at the front desk with a huge smile on his face and greeted me with a warm welcome, which made me like this store a bit more. Although I am not a huge fan of comic books it was exciting to see the the collections of comic books they had. It was all vintage and it made me wonder where could have they possibly get this from.

Later on I realized that this store had another part upstairs and while I was walking up the stairs, I tried to make sure not to fall because the stairs was so narrow and real high. As I reached upstairs, I thought it was going to be small as downstairs too but it was bit more spacious. They had more collections of comic books upstairs and this time it was a lot more vintage than downstairs.

They are rare comic books which would definitely excite a comic junkie but not someone like me. The atmosphere of the place is real scary actually. It was very small and I felt like I was entering a death trap but as I soon I got into the space it grew on me and it made me realize this place is not actually that bad.

Although it is not really spacious, they had great collections of comic books but they I did not see a variety of other books which means that it is not an easy accessibility. The staff was real sweet and were willing to answer any questions which is great. To be honest he was kind of cute too. Other than that, I was not a huge fan of this place because I am truly not a huge comic book fan which does bring a bias to this review. Otherwise this would be a great bookstore who is a fan of comic books.

BMV

BMV is the one of the biggest bookstores I have been to. I didn't expect a huge bookstore to be in downtown. Usually downtown is the place to find small bookstores. This store just reminded me of the mainstream bookstores like Coles and Chapters. This was an actual disappointment because if I wanted to got a big book store I would have gone to Coles or Chapters but I thought this store would be different

This store was pretty different in some ways. This bookstore had about three stories of books which makes it have a lot of varieties and options for the customers that walk in. Due to it's size I knew from the very beginning that there is going to be a lot of options which allows this bookstore to have an easy accessibility.

The moment I walked into the store it had a great vibes and the smell of the books were overwhelming which made it feel so like a bookstore. The atmosphere of the place is very friendly and the paint colours they used for their store made it very home like, which is a great way to make the customers feel like they are at home.

The staff is very friendly as well, they were willing to help whenever we ask them questions. They didn't get easily irritated for the amount of questions I asked, which most staff do. There is really no downside to this bookstore except for the fact it was a typical bookstore, on the other hand this is a great bookstore and people should check it out. The prices are reasonable and they have a great staff that will help you with anything you are looking for.
